The agricultural machinery industry is subject to constant change and the demands on the various machines are increasing. Topics such as efficiency, performance, but also sustainability in agriculture are not unknown to manufacturers. Hydraulics also play a major role in this - because without them there is neither power transmission nor movement. In the machine rooms, hydraulic lines often have to really hold their own: Not only confined spaces, but also, for example, high temperatures, vibrations or environmental influences have an effect on the lines and connections. Leakages, wear or failures must be avoided.
Our Product of the Month for October focuses on a hose-pipe combination from the agricultural machinery sector that withstands the challenges mentioned. It can be clearly seen that the tube attached to the hose pipe is bent several times. This enables optimal placement in the machine room. In addition, compared to a hose line, a tube line offers the advantage of being less sensitive to the high radiant heat in the engine compartment. The use of multiple-bend tubing also avoids the need for screwed chains and reduces the risk of leaks. In this example, the connection between the hose and the tube is the only swaged joint. So if the hose-pipe combination is installed in the agricultural machine, no additional crimping or bolting is necessary.
Many agricultural machines process crop protection agents or come into contact with them. To ensure the efficiency and performance of the machines over a long period of time, hose lines are required that can withstand these aggressive liquids. In this example, a special thermoplastic hose was used for the hose-pipe combination. The following advantages result from its use:
